Texbrasil welcomes buyer from Palacio de Hierro and Editor of Sunday Times

06/23/2014

Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, Apex-Brasil) is welcoming the Editor of Sunday Times’ Style magazine (England), Tiffanie Darke, and a buyer from Palacio de Hierro (Mexico), Nathalie Baaklini, to Brazil. Today, they are at the match between Brazil and Cameroon, at Mane Garrincha stadium in Brasilia. This action is the result of Apex-Brasil’s World Cup Project, created to stimulate business based on relationship marketing strategies and, of course, to promote the country of football’s image around the world.

In addition to checking out the game, the guests have a business agenda. On Wednesday (18), Nathalie took part in meetings at Abit headquarters, in Sao Paulo, with representatives from the Trifil, Marcyn, Hope, Adriana Degreas, La Dumaux and Mar Rio companies. Later, she went to Porto Alegre, where she met with Beatriz Dockhorn, the owner of Bia Brazil, a brand that is already a supplier for the Mexican chain and with which she wanted to strengthen relations.

While traditional, the Mexican market is also looking for unique fashion. That is why I look for products with high added value and design for Palacio de Hierro. We will surely find interesting options among Brazilian suppliers, said the buyer.

The journalist was also in Sao Paulo, where she learned about the Blue Man, Pat Bo and Scarf Me brands and met with designer Patricia Bonaldi, the Marketing Manager of the Adriana Degreas label, Fernanda Yamin, and Texbrasil’s Fashion and Design Manager, Evilasio Miranda. It has been over ten years since I last visited Brazil and I was impressed with how Brazilian fashion has evolved in that time. The designers I met have authentic and very unique work, she said. The Style magazine recently ran an editorial on Brazil using Brazilian brands.
