Brazilian Brands Celebrate Success at Coterie NY 2024
Between September 22 and 24, 2024, Coterie, one of the most important apparel trade shows in the United States, will welcome 37 Brazilian brands to New York. Organized by Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), a partnership between ABIT (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), the event was a valuable opportunity for brands to expand their presence in the international market.
The brands that participated in the trade show were: Adô Atelier, Ayla, Belle Paiva, CaCay, Cristina Sabatini, Cupido, Donna Si, Dress To, Eneida França, Gissa Bicalho, Gustavo Eyewear, Joanne, Lavish, Constantinopla, Lis Fiaschi, Louloux, Luisa Werner, Lybethras, Maria Pavan, Mariana Meirelles, Marie Mercié, Melissa/Grendene, Modus Rio, Nádia Gimenes, Nidas, Paola Bernardi, Patricia Motta, Priscila Torres, Ruela, Schutz/Arezzo, Serpui, Toni Barros, Vicenza, Zâmbia, Zille Rio, Zoew Beachwear and Zsolt Rio.
Texbrasil’s support was crucial in enabling Brazilian companies to participate in the trade show, increasing their international visibility and facilitating connections with important market players, in addition to boosting business. During the event, 36 out of the 37 participating Brazilian brands made sales, representing 97% of the group. The trade show resulted in a total of USD 2,388,625.00 in immediate business and an expected annual business generation of USD 5,238,500.09. Overall, 1,026 contacts were made, highlighting the scope and relevance of the event for the growth of Brazilian brands. In addition, 15 brands participated in Coterie for the first time, demonstrating the success of internationalization for new exhibitors.
Among the participating brands, some shared their experiences. Janina, founder and creative director of ZOEW, commented on the importance of the trade show for her brand: “The participation of the ZOEW brand in Coterie was extremely positive. We had direct and productive contact with several retailers, resulting in sales to new points of sale in the United States, the Caribbean and the Dominican Republic, in addition to providing support for our active customers. Texbrasil’s support was essential, not only providing the necessary financial support, but also helping with suggestions, clarifying doubts and offering impeccable service, contributing to the evolution of ZOEW.
