Texbrasil participating in textile shows in Argentina
Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), is attending three industry trade shows being held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from April 5 to 7: Emitex, Simatex and Confemaq.
At the invitation of the Brazilian Embassy in Buenos Aires, the Program will be at the events for the first time, representing Program member companies. “We are constantly looking for new platforms where companies can show their products to the international market and do business. As a country, Argentina is the number one importer of textile and apparel products from Brazil; it is an extremely important market in which we are always have significant interest,” says Lilian Kaddissi, the Program’s executive manager.
The shows are held simultaneously and bring together various sectors: apparel industry suppliers at Emitex; textile industry machinery at Simatex; and apparel machinery at Confemaq.
The events also feature fashion shows, conferences held by major industry organizations and exhibitors, workshops with different themes and a space for fashion students to show their work. Organizers expect 240 exhibitors and 14,000 visitors for this year’s shows.
